The folks at Aloha Island Coffee were kind enough to send me a sampler pack of their new 100% Kona Dark Roast Pods for Senseo single serve coffee machines. |  |
The sampler pack comes wrapped in a blue-metallic package (looks like a bag of coffee beans) and each Kona-Pod comes individually wrapped. The Kona-Pod itself is the equivalent of 2 Senseo pods worth of coffee stacked on each other, but packed in one pod. The coffee pod fits in the double cup Senseo pod holder, and doesn't fit snugly - just sort of in the middle. I brewed up a double cup of Kona coffee (which I'm drinking right now), and I have to say - this is great coffee! The Dark Roast is very rich and creamy and presents itself well for my morning coffee hour. There isn't as much frothy head as there is for a normal cup of Senseo crema coffee, but I don't think this matters. The Kona coffee has little or no acidity, and okay - I'll say it again - SMOOOOOTH!!! I can't recommend this coffee any more than - buy some. You won't regret it.
